Connectville Legacy

One of the compulsive concerns I have developed is that so many folks have previously traveled the same trails as I am doing seemly starting from scratch. So how do I help the next generation when they get interested? Yes, the website helps but in circa 2011 we still do not have a reliable system tool to preserve such things. I have a database and I have several websites along with the normal number of social media outlets. The weakness in the process is a fail safe method of passing the information in a format useable for the future.

My best solution today is the creation of a website I call the Connectville Legacy Home. It is freely hosted in a simple format by the Ancestry.Com Group as a tool they use to feed their paid products and support other useful activities. There is no assurance that they will maintain the information but it is a best choice among others at this time. I have therefore moved all historical work to that location at this link: http://alturl.com/w3s3t. I have used the name Yatesville as a vanity brand for many years but I wanted to be more inclusive so I chose Connectville and added Legacy to suggest something lasting. Yeah, you might be thinking you could have chosen something better but you weren't available yet were you...LOL.
